Keyword-triggered auto-DMs

Attach an automation to any post, reel, or story. When a comment or story reply contains your keyword — "LINK", "GUIDE", anything you choose — commentfor sends that person a private DM with your message and link, within seconds. Each campaign has its own keyword, message, and destination, so a giveaway, a lead magnet, and a product drop can run side by side without interfering.

DM templates

Write reusable message templates once and prefill any new automation with them. commentfor ships with starter presets for the common plays — link delivery, lead magnet, waitlist, discount, and content upgrade — that you can adapt to your voice.

Tracked links & analytics

Every link you deliver goes out as a tracked short link. The dashboard shows clicks and click-through rate per campaign, so you can see which post, keyword, and message actually convert — from your own data, not guesses.

Public comment auto-reply

Optionally reply publicly under the triggering comment ("Sent you a DM! 📬"). The public thread shows everyone else the keyword works, which keeps new comments — and new DMs — coming.

Follow-gate

Ask people to follow you before the link is delivered. commentfor checks whether the commenter follows your account; if not, the DM politely asks them to follow first and delivers the link right after. Link requests become followers instead of drive-by clicks.

Email gate & lead capture

Turn the DM conversation into a lead form. With the email gate on, the first DM asks for an email address before the link is sent; when the person replies with one, commentfor captures it, delivers the real link, and adds the lead to your dashboard. Captured emails are stored encrypted, exportable as CSV, and — if you connect Kit or Flodesk — forwarded to your email platform automatically. Gates can be chained: follow first, then email, then link.

DM flows & sequences

One comment can start a sequence, not just a single message: deliver the link now, follow up later with a reminder or a next step. Flows are quota-aware and capped, so sequences never run away from you.

Story triggers

Automations aren't limited to feed posts — story replies and story @mentions can trigger DMs too, so "reply to this story" and shout-out campaigns deliver links just like comments do.

Rate-limit-safe sending

commentfor paces every send safely under Instagram's official platform limit of 750 private replies per hour, queues bursts instead of dropping them, and retries transient failures. Big comment spikes get handled; your account never gets flagged for blasting.

Security by default
