Government and Law Enforcement Requests
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This page describes how Neurai Technologies Private Limited handles requests from public authorities for personal data held by CommentFor. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Legal review
We review every request for legal validity before disclosing anything. Except in an emergency, described below, a request must be in writing, identify the authority and its legal basis, and be sent to privacy@commentfor.com or served formally on the company. We respond in writing.
Emergencies
Where there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, and the law and our agreements with customers permit it, we may, after a prompt legal review, disclose the minimum data necessary on an urgent request from an authority whose identity we have independently verified. We record the request in writing at the time and require written confirmation from the authority afterwards.
Challenging requests
We refuse or challenge requests that are unlawful, overbroad or beyond the authority's power, through the means the law allows.
Data minimisation
Where disclosure is legally required, we disclose only the minimum necessary.
Records
We keep a written record of each request, our response, the legal reasoning and the people involved.
Notice
Where the law allows and it is practicable, we tell the affected customer about a request for their data before disclosing it, unless notice could put someone at risk or obstruct a lawful investigation. For customer data we process under our Data Processing Addendum, the Addendum's terms on notice apply.
