Yes — an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator). Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app; the official API requires it.

A keyword comment on any post or reel you choose, or - on the paid plans - a story reply or @mention. You pick the keyword per campaign — "LINK", "GUIDE", "PRICE", anything — and CommentFor matches it instantly.

A DM from your account with your message and a tracked link. On the paid plans you can also enable a public reply under their comment, a follow-gate before the link, or a multi-step DM sequence.

Matching comments get their DM within seconds. Sending is paced safely under Instagram's official platform limit of 750 private replies per hour, with bursts queued — messages are delivered, never blasted.

Nothing is dropped. Sends beyond the hourly pace are queued and go out in order, and each account card on your dashboard says how many DMs are waiting and roughly when they go, so a busy launch is a glance rather than a support ticket.

No. The Free plan needs no card and does not expire. Upgrade from Settings whenever you want more allowance, more accounts or the paid features.

Yes, from Settings in the app. Cancellation stops all future charges; your paid features stay active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. The details are in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

An optional step that asks the commenter to follow you before the link is delivered. CommentFor checks whether they follow your account and sends the link as soon as they do — turning link requests into followers.

With the email gate on, the first DM asks for an email address before the link goes out. When the person replies with one, CommentFor stores it encrypted, delivers the link, and shows the lead in your dashboard — with automatic forwarding to Kit or Flodesk if you connect them, and CSV export on the paid tiers.

Yes. On the paid plans a signed webhook posts one JSON request per captured lead to a URL you choose, with a test button in Settings. Zapier and Make read it directly; anything else can verify the signature and take the lead from there.

Yes — Rewind lets an automation message people who commented before you set it up, inside Instagram's 7-day private-reply window. Instagram allows one private reply per comment, and CommentFor enforces that automatically.

Set the automation up before you publish. Choose "My next post" and it arms itself, attaches to the next thing you post within minutes of it going live, and answers from the first comments on. It waits seven days for a new post, then pauses rather than latching onto something you publish much later.

Six starter presets prefill a new automation on every plan: link drop, lead magnet, follow to unlock, waitlist, discount code and product upsell. On the paid plans you can also save your own automations as templates.

Every link you deliver is a tracked short link. The dashboard shows sends, clicks and click-through rate per campaign; link-preview fetchers and crawlers are filtered out and repeat taps within a couple of minutes count once, so the number is people.

Two ways: disconnect your Instagram account in the dashboard, or remove CommentFor from your Instagram settings — Meta then notifies us and we purge automatically. Both purge your Instagram data, tokens, automations and captured leads; a dashboard disconnect keeps a one-way abuse-prevention hash for up to 180 days^¶. Full steps are on the Data Deletion page.

Customer data is processed in India. Instagram access tokens and captured email addresses are stored encrypted, and encrypted backups are kept for at most 60 days for operational and legal reasons. The Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum have the detail.

Yes. Every CommentFor login can turn on two-factor authentication from Settings, with a recovery code shown once at enrolment.

Yes. Every page has a Markdown twin, the site publishes an llms.txt, and the AI info page carries the verified facts about CommentFor so an assistant answering about us gets the same facts you do.

The Facebook Pages channel is built and waits on Meta's permissions and some remaining work of ours; the site labels it coming soon until then. Instagram is the live channel today.
