Product
Everything CommentFor does today, and what comes next.
One product, built in the open: the comment-to-DM engine that is live on Instagram now, the channel that is built and waiting on Meta's review, and the channels and triggers on the roadmap. Nothing here is a mock-up; what is live is live, and what is planned says so.
Live today on Instagram
Connect a professional Instagram account through Meta's official login and the whole engine below is yours. It runs on the official Instagram Platform API only: no scraping, no bots, no password. Every DM opens with a one-line automated-reply disclosure, which Meta's messaging policy asks for at the start of a thread; on the paid plans that line is the disclosure alone, without CommentFor branding.
Keyword-triggered auto-DMs
Attach an automation to a specific post or reel, to any post on the account, or to the next thing you publish. When a comment contains your keyword, CommentFor sends that person a private reply with your message and link within seconds, inside Instagram's seven-day, once-per-comment window. Each automation carries its own keywords, message, link and settings: exclusion words that stop a match, a once-per-person rule so a repeat commenter is not messaged twice, an optional send delay, and on the paid plans exclusive per-post triggers so two automations never fight over one post.
Story replies and story mentions (paid plans)
On the paid plans an automation is not limited to feed posts. A reply to your story, or a story that @mentions you, can trigger the same DM, so "reply to this story for the link" and shout-out campaigns deliver exactly like comments do.
Inbox openers
The buttons a person sees when they open a fresh conversation with your account can each fire an automation. Publish them once from the dashboard and a tap on "Get the guide" delivers the guide, on every plan.
Next post
Set the automation up before you publish. Choose "My next post" and it arms itself, attaches to the next thing you post within minutes of it going live, and answers from the first comments on. An armed automation waits seven days for a new post, then pauses rather than latching onto something you publish much later. Comments that arrive in the first few minutes before it attaches are picked up by a Rewind on that post.
Rewind
A post is already taking off and you had no automation on it. Attach one now and Rewind messages the people who commented before you did, one reply per comment, within the window Instagram allows and paced like every other send.
Public comment auto-reply (paid plans)
On the paid plans, reply publicly under the triggering comment as well ("Sent you a DM!"). The thread then shows everyone else that the keyword works, which keeps new comments, and new DMs, coming.
Follow gate (paid plans)
On the paid plans, ask people to follow you before the link is delivered. CommentFor checks whether the commenter follows your account; if not, the DM asks them to follow and comment again, and the link goes out the moment they do. Link requests become followers instead of drive-by clicks.
Email gate and lead capture (paid plans)
On the paid plans the conversation can become a lead form. With the email gate on, the first DM asks for an email address before the link is sent; when the person replies with one, CommentFor captures it, delivers the real link and adds the lead to your dashboard. Gates chain: follow first, then email, then link. Captured emails are stored encrypted and exportable as a CSV on the paid tiers.
Where leads go next
On the paid plans, connect Kit or Flodesk and every captured lead is forwarded to your email platform as it arrives. Anything else, Zapier and Make included, reads the signed lead webhook, also on the paid plans: one JSON request per lead to a URL you choose, signed so the receiver can verify it came from CommentFor, with a test button in Settings.
DM flows and sequences (paid plans)
On the paid plans one comment can start a sequence rather than a single message: deliver the link now, follow up later with a reminder or the next step. Follow-ups are scheduled only inside the messaging window the person's own reply opens, so nothing is sent that Instagram would refuse, and every flow is quota-aware and capped.
DM templates
Starter presets prefill a new automation on every plan: link drop, lead magnet, follow to unlock, waitlist, discount code and product upsell. On the paid plans you can also save any automation as a template of your own, and the library holds 100 saved templates.
Tracked links and analytics
Every link you deliver goes out as a tracked short link. The dashboard shows sends, clicks and click-through rate per campaign, so you can see which post, keyword and message convert. Link-preview fetchers and crawlers are filtered out of the count, and repeat taps within a couple of minutes count once, so the number is people, not bots.
Queue visibility and safe pacing
CommentFor paces every send under Instagram's platform limit of 750 private replies an hour, queues bursts instead of dropping them and retries transient failures. When a post draws more comments than an hour can carry, each account card on the dashboard says how many DMs are waiting and roughly when they go, so a busy launch is a glance rather than a support ticket.
Several accounts, one dashboard
Run campaigns across several Instagram accounts from one login, with one shared monthly DM allowance across the accounts your plan allows. Available on any paid plan; the allowances and account limits are on the pricing page.
Security and privacy, built in
Two-factor authentication for your CommentFor login. Access tokens and captured emails encrypted at rest. Data deletion from Settings, from Instagram's own app permissions, or by writing to us, with a status page for requests Meta forwards. The legal set is complete and public: Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Terms, a Data Processing Addendum for customers who need one, and notices for GDPR, CCPA and India's DPDP Act.
Readable by your tools as well as by you
Every page on this site has a Markdown twin and the site publishes an llms.txt, so an AI assistant reading about CommentFor gets the same facts you do, from the same source.
Built, waiting on Meta's review
Facebook Pages
The Facebook channel is code-complete: keyword comments on a Page's posts answered with a private reply in Messenger, tracked links, DM templates and the same per-automation settings, with an optional public reply on the paid plans, paced by its own conservative hourly limit. Connecting a Page uses Facebook Login and the permissions Meta grants after its review, which is where it sits today, so the channel is labelled coming soon on this site and switches on once the review clears and the remaining deletion work for Pages lands. The paid-plan extras (story triggers, the gates and flows), next-post arming and Rewind are Instagram-only for now and are refused with a clear message on Facebook rather than silently dropped.
Planned
These are the channels and triggers on the roadmap. Each is listed because the design is settled, not because a date is; existing customers are first in line as each one lands.
A delivery leg for your existing automations: people who opt in receive the link or lead magnet in a WhatsApp chat through Meta's official WhatsApp Business platform, where open rates live, with per-conversation metering built in from the start.
Telegram
A bot connector, so a comment on Instagram or Facebook can hand the conversation to a Telegram chat with your bot and continue there.
YouTube
Keyword replies under your videos' comments, designed around Google's API quota so a popular video does not exhaust the day's budget by lunchtime.
Threads
Keyword auto-replies on Threads posts. The Threads API has no direct messages, so the reply itself is the delivery, and the design accounts for that rather than pretending otherwise.
Instagram Live and ad comments
Comments on a Live and on boosted posts are the two Instagram surfaces not yet covered. Both depend on what Meta's webhooks actually deliver for those objects, which is tested on the approved app first; what arrives is what gets built.
Set-up by your assistant
A public handbook and a set of narrow, read-only tools so an AI assistant can walk a person through signup, connecting Instagram and preparing a first automation as a reviewed draft, without ever holding a password or sending a message. Planned in phases, with the design approved before any code.
